The first service is also a good time to install that exhaust system or jet kit you wanted.

The first service on your vehicle is more than just an oil change. It is one of the most important services to be completed by Xtreme Machines. When you bring your bike in for its first service it allows our technicians to find and correct any problems before they become too expensive to repair. The first service is also an opportune time to voice any concerns or questions you have about your ride. By having your bike serviced at Xtreme Machines it allows us to keep detailed maintenance records, so if a warranty problem should ever arise we can show proof to the manufacturer that your bike was properly maintained. When a service is completed by Xtreme Machines you will receive a print out of exactly what was done to your bike and any recommendations the technician might have. Our friendly service team is there to explain the repairs and recommendations. Listed below is what your first service consists of, note that every model is different and could require more or less than the list below.

First Service

Fluids:
  • Change engine oil and filter.
  • Top off coolant.
  • Check brake fluid and bleed brakes.
  • Check clutch fluid.
  • Change final drive oil.
Lubrication:
  • Lube all grease nipples on frame.
  • Lube drive chain.
  • Lube control cables.
Adjustments:
  • Adjust valves (Most off-road units, some street bikes).
  • Adjust drive chain / check condition.
  • Set tire pressure.
  • Adjust throttle cable free play.
  • Adjust clutch cable.
Electrical Maintenance:
  • Change spark plugs.
  • Check spark plug leads and caps / change if necessary.
  • Check battery fluid level / top off.
  • Grease battery terminals.
  • Check charging system.
  • Set timing.
  • Check all lights.
Carburetion / Fuel Injection:
  • Clean and oil air filter / replace if necessary.
  • Set idle speed.
  • Synchronize carburetors / throttle bodies.
Other:
  • Check steering / alignment.
  • Check brakes.
  • Torque nuts and bolts.
  • Check for any leaks.
  • Test Ride.
